Headquarters of the Confucius Institute

The brief for the proposed rebuild of the headquarters of the Confucius Institute was clear – it “is the Chinese government’s aim to cooperate with foreign tertiary institutions in order to enhance the understanding of the Chinese language and culture by the peoples of the world. The fundamental purpose of the Institute is to disseminate the Chinese language and 5,000 years of culture.”

At the same time, the new design has to be pointing towards the future with this, the world headquarters of the Confucius Institute, having the functionality, services and facilities of an international standard.
