Planning approved-in progress
Ellerslie House is a large, impressive detached mid-19th Century dwelling that stands within 4.4 ha (11acres) of picturesque and bucolic surroundings, of which 1.22ha (3 acres) has been approved for new development. The site is surrounded by various species of large mature trees through which winds a bubbling brook. On the day I surveyed the site I encountered wild deer running across the open grassland.
The proposed layouts in the central zone had already been accepted before I took the lead design role to carry the project forward from May 2019. So it has been of utmost importance to create more housing in sympathy with the existing designs whilst limiting further impact on the stunning surroundings.
